Mandy Izadi's work investigates the history of Natives, Blacks, and Empires in North America's Southeast and the greater Caribbean. Her research examines the history of this underexamined region, and its inhabitants, over the course of the long nineteenth century.
Mandy completed her doctorate at Oxford University in 2016, having previously received her B.A. at New York University.
Her adviser is Professor Pekka Hämäläinen.
