M.Phil. in Politics: Comparative Government
Kate Schneider is an M.Phil. student focusing on Canadian and American comparative politics. Her research interests include the political development of race, state formation, colonialism, and the nature of state power. She previously completed a BA (Hons.) in Political Science from the University of Toronto, where she wrote her thesis on overseas imperial expansion of the United States in the 19th century.
Kate is the Managing Editor of the Oxford Political Review and an Associate Editor with the Canadian Law Review. She currently works as a Research Assistant on a joint project between the Investigative Journalism Foundation and the University of Toronto that has created the largest published database of political donations in Canada. Kate also volunteers with Survivors to Superheroes, a non-profit based in New York that supports young survivors of sexual violence.
