Sadie Jarrett

I am a Career Development Fellow in Early Modern History at The Queen’s College. Before arriving in Oxford, I was an Economic History Society postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Historical Research. I work on the early modern British Atlantic world, with a particular focus on Wales and the Welsh diaspora. My first book examines the early modern Welsh gentry's role in the British state and its burgeoning colonial enterprises. I am currently working on my second book project which re-examines the nature of European colonialism through the lens of Welsh settlement in early America.
