Vacancy: Communications and Events Officer

The Rothermere American Institute (RAI) seeks to appoint a Communications and Events Officer to join our small and committed team. The RAI is a research centre within the University of Oxford with a mission to support and promote the scholarly study of the United States in the world. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to help shape the next phase of the Institute’s development. Working with colleagues, you will create and implement an effective communications strategy and manage the Institute’s website, social media, public engagement activities, and events. You will be responsible for creating online content, engaging with stakeholders, and representing the Institute as required, welcoming visitors and hosting events. You will be knowledgeable about the study of the United States, and will be passionate about the RAI’s role in supporting it. You will be imaginative in your approach to communications, have excellent interpersonal skills, and be an effective writer. You will also be capable of working independently, taking the initiative when necessary.
