Fellows

Fellows

Postdoctoral Fellows, Fellows, and Senior Fellows of the RAI are active researchers based at Oxford University who specialise in any aspect of American history, politics, literature and culture. Many are affiliated with the Faculty of History, the Faculty of English or the Department of Politics and International Relations.

Postdoctoral Fellows are students who have recently completed a DPhil at Oxford.

Fellows are academics who have a non-casual contract of employment with the University of Oxford or one of its colleges, are involved in teaching or research in fields relevant to the RAI, and have a publication record, with evidence of scholarly output. Three of our Fellows are Junior Research Fellows (postdoctoral researchers) employed by the RAI.

Senior Fellows are University postholders who are involved in teaching or research in fields relevant to the RAI. They are academics employed by the University of Oxford or one of its colleges on a permanent contract. They can also be visiting professors employed by the RAI or another Oxford department; in this case, their Senior Fellowships will only apply while they are employed at Oxford.Â
