Dr Johanna Gosse has been appointed as the 2023-24 Terra Foundation for American Art Visiting Professor in the Department of History of Art at the University of Oxford. Dr Gosse will teach an undergraduate survey of American art from the 17th century to the late 20th century, as well as an MSt course that focuses on the diverse regions and transnational and global networks of collaboration that have shaped American art. Dr Gosse will be a Visiting Fellow at Worcester College where she will deliver the Terra Foundation Lectures in American Art in the Spring of 2024. These lectures will be open to the wider public, as well as Oxford University staff and students.
