Incoming RAI Director Adam Smith appointed to the Marshall Aid Commemoration Commission

The RAI congratulates incoming Director and Edward Orsborn Professor, Adam Smith, on his appointment to the Marshall Aid Commemoration Commission with effect from 1 August 2019. Professor Smith's appointment has been announced by the Foreign Office along with that of three other new commissioners.

The Marshall Aid Commemoration Commission administers the British Marshall Scholarship scheme, which finances young Americans of high ability to study for a graduate degree in the UK. Up to forty Scholars are selected each year to study at graduate level at an UK institution in any field of study, thereby strengthening the enduring relationship between the British and American peoples.
