Winant Lecture in American Government 2024 - recording now available

A recording of the 2024 Winant Lecture in American Government is now available on the RAI YouTube channel.

This year's lecture, entitled Shifting Allegiances: The Election of Latino Republicans to Congress and State Legislatures, was delivered by Jason P. Casellas (Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Houston and Winant Visiting Professor of American Government at Oxford).

Since 2018, we have seen an increase in Latino Republicans running for, and winning office in unexpected places at both the state and federal levels. This lecture explains who they are, where they are running, who is winning, and their impact once in office.
