This instalment of the RAI's film series will discuss Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939, dir. Frank Capra, 130 mins), based on Lewis R. Foster's unpublished story 'The Gentleman from Montana', in which a newly appointed United States Senator fights against a corrupt political system.
