In this RAI-supported project led by Heidi Williamson and Sylee Gore, sixteen contemporary UK and US poets created new poems in response to work in PennSound – the world’s largest audio and video archive of poetry and poetics.

These poets, affiliated either with Oxford University or Kelly Writers House, have produced a diverse range of pieces in conversation with poets from centuries ago to today.

A free creative workshop

Archival audio and video materials from PennSound are at the heart of this creative writing workshop to be held at the RAI on Wednesday 29th March.
