Postcards from the Archive

Postcards to the Archive: A Poetry Reading

In this RAI-supported project led by Heidi Williamson and Sylee Gore, sixteen contemporary UK and US poets created new poems in response to work in PennSound – the world’s largest audio and video archive of poetry and poetics.

These poets, affiliated either with Oxford University or Kelly Writers House, have produced a diverse range of pieces in conversation with poets from centuries ago to today.

A live reading

These exciting new pieces will be performed in a hybrid transatlantic reading at the RAI on Thursday 4th May at 5pm London time.

Poets reading include:

Ahmad Almallah

Herman Beavers

Julia Bloch

Knar Gavin

Sylee Gore

Davy Knittle

Mir Elias

Alex Moon

Bernard O'Donoghue

Yousif M Qasmiyeh

Laura Theis

Heidi Williamson

The readings will be followed by a reception in the RAI Common Room

A new poetry chapbook

The poems have been captured in a thought-provoking chapbook, which will be downloadable for free, here, after the reading.
