This term we will be reading Saidiya Hartman’s Wayward Lives, Beautiful Experiments: Intimate Histories of Social Upheaval (2019). The book is available via Blackwell’s, Amazon, and other booksellers.

We are fortunate to have Saidiya Hartman joining us to discuss her book. Hartman is a Professor of African-American Literature and History at Columbia University and a 2019 MacArthur Fellow. You can hear her talk about her work here.
