RAI Live brings authors and audiences in conversation. It features new and sometimes controversial topics that push at disciplinary boundaries.

This session welcomes the iconic poet, novelist, performer and art journalist Eileen Myles to read from her work, which includes 19 published books. Interview describes her poems as offering “a kind of broken-nose elegance” that demonstrates how identity shapes a serious American writer. Her acclaimed novel, Chelsea Girls, chronicles 1960s & ‘70s sex, drugs & family. The New York Review of Books describes her work as “uncompromisingly frontal, simultaneously vulnerable and scrutinising. If you look at her, she looks back.”

Professor David Russell will chair a conversation with the audience.

A wine reception will follow.

All welcome.
