Ronan Ludot-Vlasak: Essays on Melville and Classical Antiquity

Ronan Ludot-Vlasak is Professor of American Literature at Lille. His research focuses on the circulation of European literary and cultural models (especially Shakespeare and Classical Antiquity) in the American imagination, and more particularly on the continuities, reinventions, and desecrations that these intertextual and intercultural practices bring into play. His specific field of investigation lies in the fiction and theatre of the long 19th century.
