Society for the History of Women in the Americas Annual Conference

The RAI is pleased to support the tenth annual conference of the Society for the History of Women in the Americas (SHAW), to be held on Thursday 6 July 2017 at The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities.

The conference is currently inviting paper proposals, which should be submitted (along with a 100-word biography) to shawconference2017@gmail.com by 10 April 2017. The full call for papers can be viewed here.

SHAW is a scholarly association dedicated to the historical investigation of women and gender in North America, South America and the Caribbean, either within or between nation states and/or the northern or southern hemispheres. It provides an arena for researchers from across a range of disciplines to come together, offering a focal point in which their hemispheric gender concerns can coalesce and develop further.
