The first part of this event offers a panel discussion with experts from Bern and Oxford, who will explore the uses of visual art in fiction from Henry James to Ali Smith. The second half provides an opportunity to discuss Amy Sackville’s Painter to the King (2018). The award-winning British author, Amy Sackville, will be present at the event and happy to answer questions.
Chapters from the novel, and the texts and images to be discussed by the panelists, will be circulated a week in advance.
This event will take place on Friday, 28 May 2021, from 9.30-12.30 am (GMT), on Zoom. To sign up, please send an email to sofie.behluli@lincoln.ox.ac.uk or sofie.behluli@ens.unibe.ch.
