I am a DPhil History student, whose research focuses on the cultural history of the Cold War, and how the creation of NASA upheld restrictive notions of postwar “normality” in America. In particular, I am interested in interconnecting the historiographies of race, sexuality, and gender to investigate the space programme and its critiques.
I grew up in Budapest, Hungary, before moving to London to complete a BA in History with Spanish (2019-2023) at University College London. Afterwards, I came to Oxford to complete an MSt in Women’s, Gender, and Queer History (2023-2024), where my research focused on the abortion and demographic debates of state-socialist Hungary. Currently, I am a committee member of the Oxford History LGBTQ+ Network, and I hope to find ways to intersect my interest in Eastern European, American, and queer history in community with other students and researchers.
