Inside American Politics 2025

Inside American Politics 2025, sponsored by Brademas Center at NYU and the Rothermere American Institute, convenes at the University of Oxford just days after the U.S. off-year elections, at a pivotal and uncertain moment in American democracy. Against a backdrop of shifting political norms, heightened tensions across government, and questions about the strength of democratic institutions, this three-day forum brings together leading U.S. political strategists, journalists, and scholars to assess the year’s developments and explore what lies ahead for the United States and its global partners.

This year also marks the 20th anniversary of the Brademas Center at NYU. In recognition of this milestone, the program will look beyond immediate electoral outcomes to consider the broader trajectory of American democracy—drawing on historical context, political science research, and comparative international perspectives to deepen understanding of this moment in history.
