Eliza Foreman

I hold a BA from the American University in Washington, DC, where I majored in interdisciplinary studies (Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government), and minored in both Art History and History. During my undergraduate studies, I interned for the United States House of Representatives where I became interested in US legal history. I hold an MA in Modern History from the London School of Economics and Political Science where my dissertation focused on the British home front during World War I. I also hold an MLitt from the University of St Andrews in Legal and Constitutional Studies where my dissertation focused on the role religion – both Christianity and Indigenous religions – played in shaping attitudes toward land ownership in the American West during the nineteenth century. I am now undertaking a DPhil in US history with a research project focused on the 1862 Homestead Act.
