Alexander Beck is an MPhil Candidate in International Relations at the University of Oxford, with research interests in security studies, nuclear policy, and the implications of technology on conflict. Alexander is an officer of the Oxford University International Relations Society and an MPhil in IR Course Representative in the Department of Politics and International Relations (DPIR). Before coming to Oxford, he worked in political public relations & consulting for a Washington, D.C.-based boutique firm. Alexander holds a B.A. in History and a Minor in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, named a Fellow of the Institute of International Studies, and was a member of the Nuclear Policy Working Group.
