Amisha Kambath

Amisha Kambath, a resident of California's Bay Area, is a recent graduate of Harvard College where she majored in Social Studies with a focus on the Economic Development and the Criminal Legal System. At Harvard, Amisha was broadly interested in the American criminal legal system, and her focus on violence led her to grapple seriously with the socio-ecological conditions of the neighborhoods in which violence occurs. Her focus has thus expanded to the institutions, in particular labor markets, that construct and shape opportunity in neighborhoods that have faced historic disinvestment and marginalization. At Oxford, Amisha is a Rhodes Scholar beginning her MPhil in Political Theory, with a focus on Normative Political Economy. With plans to attend law school post Oxford, Amisha is conducting a deep dive into the moral and political philosophies that ground the normative foundations of labor law and economic policy in the United States.
