Christopher Lowe

I am a first year History DPhil student at University College Oxford. My research is supervised by Professor Ben Jackson and focusses on Anglo-American relations during the 1990s and early 2000s.

I completed my MPhil at Wolfson College earlier this year. The focus of my MPhil thesis was the origins of Euroscepticism in Britain in the 1980s-1990s. Before that, I attained an MSc (Distinction) from the London school of economics, specialising in the history of Empires, Colonialism and Globalisation.

I graduated with a First Class (Hons) from Queen Mary University of London in 2015. Thereafter, I worked in Boston in nuclear energy R&D, before working as a clerk in an accounting firm in New York. After returning to the UK, I managed a studio for artists in London before returning to academic study in 2019.

I am a British-American dual national and was born and grew up in Switzerland.
