Grady Owens

Recipient of the Jack Kent Cooke International Scholarship for Oxford and Cambridge, Grady Owens is currently pursuing a DPhil in history at Lincoln College, Oxford. Previously, Grady read for a Taught Masters in the History of War at Lincoln College, graduating in September 2021 with a distinction. His Masters Dissertation, Collegiate Martiality, examined the role of the collegiate lifestyle of America’s elite Northeastern colleges in conditioning warlike and martial students forservice in the First World War. His current research expands upon his previous work by shifting the focus to include American colleges and universities of all calibers, sizes, and locations to examine the martial impact of the collegiate era on the students of the United States as a whole.
