Jocelyn Kruger is a DPhil student with Hertford College at Oxford University. She researches the urban-rural divide in the United States. Her focus is on cultural change and its connection to disillusionment with the liberal international order among rural communities. Her research also explores political partisanship, nationalism, and right-wing populism in the United States. She holds an MA in Political Science from Columbia University and a BA in Sociology from the University of Washington, Seattle. Her BA thesis focused on the relationship between dominant religious identification, religiosity, and nationalism in democracies. Her experience also includes intercultural communication studies that focus on improving communication between public officials and historically marginalized groups during health and public safety crises.Â
