Joseph Ward

Joseph Ward is a DPhil in Political Theory at Corpus Christi College and the Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on black Atlantic thought and its panoply of historical approaches to political theory. In particular, he is interested in the postwar dialogue between black American writers and exiled European critical theorists. 

Before his DPhil, he completed an MPhil in Political Theory at Somerville College, Oxford and a BA in Politics and International Relations at the University of Exeter and the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. He also worked as an editorial project assistant in the archive of Archant, the largest newspaper and magazine publishing company in the East of England.

He is also a section editor for the Oxford Political Review and convened the Oxford Black Radical Thought Seminar.
