I studied Political Science and German literature at Heidelberg University, specialising in statistics and network analysis in politics and the construction of identity in literature. I completed my BA in the Summer of 2021 and was awarded an Erasmus scholarship to study in Oxford later that year. In Oxford, I read for the MSt in Medieval and Modern Languages, specialising in the construction of relationship and space in literature. Currently, I am pursuing a DPhil in Medieval and Modern Languages at Merton College, in which I explore the applicability of political thought and system theory to literature studies attempting to systematise and measure quality and quantity of literary relationships. This work is broadly conversant with the methodologies used in the study of literatures in other languages and is of particular interest in the analysis of American fiction’s relationship to American political thought.
