I completed my BA in English Language and Literature in 2023 and my MSt in English and American Studies in 2024, both at the University of Oxford. My MSt was funded by an English Faculty Studentship. My undergraduate dissertation analyses H.D.’s work for the cinema magazine Close Up and her later short stories to demonstrate how she processed the destruction of the Blitz through a cinematic lens. My MSt dissertation explores the relationship between poetry and advertising in two mid-twentieth-century little magazines, Yugen (ed. Amiri Baraka and Hettie Cohen) and C: A Journal of the Arts (ed. Ted Berrigan). My DPhil research is funded by the Wolfson Scholarship in the Humanities. Outside of my academic research, I am committed to improving access to university. I have worked for the St John’s College Access and Outreach office for several years, assisting on outreach events as well as creating a range of resources for the Inspire Virtual Summer School and the Critical Thinking Workshop.
