Maye Henning

Maye Henning is an Assistant Professor at Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts. Her research lies at the intersection of American political development, race and ethnic politics, and public law. Her current book project uncovers the history of citizenship in the U.S. territories, highlighting the interplay between democracy and imperial ambitions in the 20th century. She has published in the Studies in American Political Development and Charleston Law Review journals. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor at the University of Portland and earned her PhD in Political Science at Johns Hopkins University.
