Sarah Chen

Sarah Chen is a DPhil student in the Department of Psychiatry with the Design Bioethics Lab, funded by the Rhodes Scholarship. She currently works on designing custom serious games with narrative, decision-making, and consequences to test public attitudes and preferences towards the future use of emerging technology. Previously, she completed an MSc in Social Science of the Internet at the Oxford Internet Institute and a Dual BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics and in International Relations. Her research focuses on the military and political opportunities and risks of technology, cyber conflict, and information warfare. She has worked as a game developer for a virtual reality puzzle game and designed wargames and simulations for government and industry clients.
