A native of Bangkok, Thailand, I completed my BA in English at Chulalongkorn University (2013-2017), where I received the gold medal for highest academic results in my cohort. I then undertook an MA in English Literary Studies at Durham University (2019-2020), where I first began researching Singapore literature, producing a dissertation titled ‘The Singapore Girl Variations: A Comparison of the Female Figures of Kevin Kwan and Catherine Lim’. Upon graduation I worked part-time for two years at the English department at Chulalongkorn University, teaching undergraduate English and translation courses. During this time, I also freelanced as a translator for books, films, and television shows. In 2022, I was awarded the Queen Sirikit Scholarship to pursue this current doctoral degree in English in order to return to Chulalongkorn University as a full-time lecturer.
