Vladimiro Bocchino

Miro is a DPhil candidate at the Department of International Development, University of Oxford. He holds a BA (Hons) in American Studies from the University of Kent and an MA in Intelligence and International Security from King’s College London. During his time at the University of Kent, Miro was awarded the Rotary Prize for distinguished achievement in humanities subjects.

 

He has gained extensive academic, research, and professional experience across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and the Caucasus region. Miro is also a researcher with the Oxford Digital Diplomacy Research Group, an interdisciplinary initiative dedicated to advancing the study and practice of digital diplomacy.

 

Miro’s doctoral research investigates the impact of technological developments on traditional diplomatic practices, with a particular focus on the integration of AI and open-source intelligence tools in peace mediation. His work explores the role of these technologies in enhancing decision-making processes in intractable conflicts, with a specific emphasis on US-led mediation efforts in the Middle East.
