RAI Postdoctoral Fellow Dr Alice Kelly has won a WWI public engagement competition run by Oxford's Academic IT Services and TORCH for her podcast entitled 'Remembering Before the End: Death and the Great War'. The podcast examines deathbed scenes in Great War nurses' narratives and argues for the significance of these accounts as a mode of ‘proto-commemoration’ whilst the war was still ongoing. You can listen to the podcast here or read a press release about it here.
Alice Kelly arrived at the RAI in October 2016 as Harmsworth Postdoctoral Research Fellow on the History of the United States and World War One.
